With the first trailer now online, Warner Bros. has dropped a couple of posters for The Matrix Resurrections. In true Matrix marketing fashion, the posters continue to maintain their sense of intrigue, mystery and zen as they avoid going the overstuffed route. The first of these is simply a choice between the red pill and the blue pill, an image that’s prominently displayed on the official Matrix website ever since the teaser trailer marketing kicked off.
A banner version of the poster has also been released courtesy the movie’s official Twitter account. This one’s wider, with the release date on the right and most of the left side empty.
Let me know what you think of the posters in the comments below.
The Matrix Resurrections continues to be set for release on December 17, 2021. It will arrive in theaters and HBO Max on the same day. It features an ensemble cast that includes recurring stars Keanu Reeves as Neo, Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity, Jada Pinkett-Smith as Niobe, Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian and Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson alongside franchise newcomers Yahya-Abdul Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, Jessica Henwick, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Christina Ricci.
