Avengers: Endgame was already a fairly emotional movie, with an especially tear-jerking climax. But it looks like there were moments that would’ve made the final sequences even more difficult to watch. Marvel Studios has released a deleted scene from the movie set right after Tony Stark dies that sees everyone in the team honor Tony’s death. They kneel as a mark of respect for the man whose death made victory possible. Check it out.
What’s especially moving is to see Hawkeye be the first to kneel with others follow suit. It’s a small gesture but arguably holds a lot more importance in the eyes of fans to see Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye lead a significant moment. It’s also poignant to see Doctor Strange’s reaction that clearly conveys how he knew the ultimate fate Tony was headed to. All in all, a great scene that most certainly should have been left in the movie instead of being taken out.
Avengers: Endgame arrives on Digital Download next week, with the Blu-Ray release soon to follow. An IMAX Blu-Ray could be on the way as well some time in the future.
