Avengers: Endgame Indian Release To Get Original Song Scored By A. R. Rahman

Marvel is leaving no stone unturned to ensure Avengers: Endgame has a huge presence in India. After signing A. R. Murugadoss to pen the Tamil language dialogues and Joe Russo’s intended visit to promote the movie, Marvel India has roped in music composer A. R. Rahman to score an original song for the movie. The song will be released next week, on April 1, 2019 (and no, this news ain’t an April Fools news) and will be Marvel’s way of thanking its Indian fans for sticking through the 22-movie journey.

Bikram Duggal, the head of Marvel Studios in India, issued an official statement on the matter:

Being surrounded by Marvel fans in my own family, there was too much pressure to come with something really satisfying and apt for Avengers: Endgame. I hope Marvel aficionados and music lovers enjoy the track. This is our small way of thanking the fans here for their extraordinary support.

Rahman is no stranger to scoring Hollywood films itself, having scored movies like 127 Hours, Million Dollar Arm, Couples Retreat and Slumdog Millionaire, the Danny Boyle film which won him two Academy Awards. In India, he’s a reknowed composer, with over fifteen Filmfare Awards to his credit, having scored a wide range of films. Considering his body of work in such Indian films as Roja, Dil Se, Lagaan,Swades, Rang De Basanti, Rockstar and many many more (seriously, there’s a huge list of impressive work), he should come up with something unique to honor the memory of experiences we’ve shared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
