After plenty of set photo leaks, a new set video from the filming of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow has surfaced online, for a change. The said video shows Scarlett Johansson’s stunt double riding a motorcycle. Supposedly, Florence Pugh’s double is also present right behind her, although it’s hard to make out if that is indeed the case.
Florence Pugh was previously reported as being cast in Black Widow as assassin Yelena Belova, the one who carries forward the Black Widow mantle from Scarlett. If that’s indeed her double spotted, this lends further weight to reports about her casting. Her character is being described as a kick-ass female version of James Bond, which could also mean Black Widow should have a spy-movie tone. Given Natasha Romanoff’s origins, that should come as no surprise.
Update: After posting this piece, another short set video has been spotted, covering the same sequence from a different angle and time.
Black Widow is rumored to hit theaters next year, on May 1, 2020. While the movie has been filming in Norway for some time now, nothing is set in stone though. Expect Marvel to make an official announcement, either at SDCC 2020 or at Disney’s D23 Expo this year. Thanks to Instagram User Roisin McHugh for filming this video.
