The marketing for Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel is slowly picking steam. Only yesterday, we got a TV Spot and now we have an official still from the movie featuring both Brie Larson and Jude Law appearing to team up. The still looks like it’s from a shot that’s not been seen in any of the trailers, although that could change in an upcoming TV Spot.
Empire Magazine premiered the still, while also commenting how Jude Law’s role is still being kept under wraps. While some other outlets have already made attempts at breaking down his role, including the deduction that he may be the “twist” in Captain Marvel, Law himself has remained highly secretive about his role which has sparked all the more curiosity over whose side is he really on. Back in September, around the release of the first trailer, he had this to say.
He is driven by a belief in the divine leadership of the Kree people. So he’s almost a devout warrior — unquestioning, conservative, but inspirational.

That doesn’t necessarily sound like the kind of guy things couldn’t go wrong with.
Empire has promised more coverage of Captain Marvel along with Avengers: Endgame in its upcoming February 2019 issue that is slated to hit the newsstands later this week. It’s already available to subscribers but so far information about its contents hasn’t trickled out. Keep your notifications on as we’ll pour through the mundane stuff and bring you all the revelations right at your fingertips.
Captain Marvel releases in theaters on March 8, 2019.
