As Marvel is heavy into post-production of Avengers: Infinity War, its sequel Avengers 4 is teetering on the verge of completion. However the film’s stars have been wrapping up their parts in quick succession and announcing it on social media, thereby inadvertently also confirming their presence in the movie.
The latest actor to have wrapped shooting for the untitled Avengers 4 (and consequently be confirmed as making it alive through the events of Infinity War) is Chris Hemsworth a.k.a. Thor Odinson himself. The news came courtesy a Twitter post by Collider writer Steve Weintraub who claims to have spoken to the actor himself while doing press for his upcoming release 12 Strong.
Just spoke to Chris Hemsworth for #12strong. He told me he wrapped on the @Russo_Brothers #Avengers movies yesterday. Wonder when Disney will reveal the title of @Avengers 4… pic.twitter.com/5AGLuriggQ

Hemsworth joins the ranks of several other actors who have taken to social media to announce their wraps on Avengers 4 filming. Just three days prior, Jeremy Renner who plays Hawkeye (or Ronin?) had taken to Instagram to announce the end of his part of filming through a short video.

Previously, Scarlet Johannson’s stunt double had taken to the same social networking site to announce her wrap on Avengers 4 filming. While it wasn’t posted explicitly by Johansson herself, she was seen standing in frame in the shared pic which led everyone to conclude that Black Widow’s portions in the movie were done filming.

Finally, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany who play the Marvel couple Scarlet Witch and Vision respectively announced their wrap on filming towards the close of 2017.

It’s now down to the major stars to announce their wraps. Then again, seeing as there are so many people (both confirmed and unconfirmed) in the star-studded Avengers 4 that we could be in for filming wrap posts the entire month. Best we try and club as many of them together as possible (if possible) and keep you folks updated.
This could well be the final time we hear any of these guys announce their filming wraps for an Avengers movie. After all, none of us know what’s in store beyond Phase 4. As Tony Stark said during Avengers: Age of Ultron, “It’s the end. The end of the path I started us on.”
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 follows a year later on May 3, 2019.
