The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald drops tomorrow, teaser out

We haven’t heard much about Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald since principal photography wrapped save for a few photos and stills we were privy to a while back. That looks set to change now as the first trailer for the movie is set to drop tomorrow. Warner Bros. confirmed the news by releasing a short trailer teaser which you can check out through the embedded link below.

If you were hoping for this short tease to contain a scene or two from the movie, prepare to be disappointed. It majorly contains a shot of the first chapter in the Harry Potter series The Boy Who Lived with the letters then dissipating to reveal the info. We were half-expecting Johnny Depp to show up as Grindelwald with a smirk but I guess that’s going to be reserved for the final teaser tomorrow.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald picks up after the events of 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Despite his capture at the hands of MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), Grindelwald has escaped and is gathering a following of his own to unleash his plans for muggle-domination. His arrival forces Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to step out from the shadows and unite with his protege Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to take Grindelwald down. They’re joined by the returning cast of the first movie which includes Tina (Katherine Waterton), Queenie (Alison Sudol) and Jacob (Dan Fogler). Ezra Miller’s Credence returns as well along with a few new players that include Zoe Kravitz, Claudia Kim and Callum Turner playing unspecified roles.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald releases on November 16, 2018.
