It’s no secret that The Batman has begun filming. Outside of multiple set photos, Matt Reeves released a first look at Robert Pattinson in costume itself. Looks like we now have some more details on where they’re filming, which could help speculate what they could be filming.
The Twitter fan account for Cardington Sheds is reporting that The Batman has erected something big near the rear of the church set they had built at the sheds. Initially, reports suggested that the sheds would be used for a funeral scene, which was assumed to be the Wayne family’s seeing as that’s the most well-known funeral in Batman mythos. But off-late, SWAT team members and police cars have been spotted around the area, suggesting the funeral could be for someone else.
Fans are speculating if the funeral has anything to do with Carmine Falcone. Then again, some of it could be smokescreen and it could indeed be the Wayne family’s funeral, with the set being used to film one additional scene. It’ll be interesting to see how this develops and I’ll keep you posted on this.
The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021.
