The Falcon and the Winter Soldier dropped a second clip yesterday that called back to a classic moment from 2012’s The Avengers. In the short scene, Bucky presses Sam Wilson to reveal what’s the plan before Bucky retorts having one. He then jumps out of the airplane without revealing what it really is. The exchange between the two also sees Bucky chide Wilson for addressing him by his nickname, something which only Steve did due to his long friendship.
Marvel fans will recall as similar exchange between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark in The Avengers although it breezes by quickly. Rogers calls out Stark, explaining he has a plan of attack, before Stark retorts back stating that his plan is to attack and jumps out. Wilson does something similar except that he doesn’t reveal this plan. Also, while I’m not sure, both this and the other clip could very well be from this week’s episode itself as the series begins with Wilson and Bucky learning to work together as a team, even if reluctantly. This jibes well with the buddy-cop vibe that the series is aiming to project, as was also evident from the first trailer.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premieres on this Friday, March 19, with episodes slated to drop weekly on Disney+.
