Mission: Impossible

Mission: Impossible is a series of action films that follow the exploits of IMF Agent Ethan Hunt who is unexpectedly tasked with leading his team and his mission after a betrayal early on. The first film released in 1996 to great success. Since then, the franchise has seen six movies, with two more set to film back-to-back and release during 2021 and 2022 respectively.

The franchise is headlined by Tom Cruise who is joined by an assortment of team members. Ving Rhames is the oldest with members played by Simon Pegg and Rebecca Fergusson being repeated. The series was helmed by different directors early on, one for each filmed, but Christopher McQuarrie has taken over since the fifth movie, building an overarching narrative.
