Mumbai Police Cop Sartaj Singh receives a call from gangster Ganesh Gaitonde informing him of a threat to the city that will unfold in 25 days. This sends the entire police department on a goose chase, trying to find clues to uncover the nature of the threat, as we flash back to the rise of Ganesh Gaitonde.

Based on the novel of the same name by Vikram Chandra, Sacred Games holds the distinction of being Netflix’s first Indian original show. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Surveen Chawla, Kubra Sait and Pankaj Tripathi. Kalki Koechlin and Ranveer Shorey joined the cast in Season 2.

The show is directed by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane (Season 1) and Neeraj Ghaywan and written by Varun Grover, Smita Singh, Vasant Nath, Dhruv Narang, Pooja Varma and Nihit Bharve. Aarti Bajaj edits with cinematography by Sylvester Fonseca, Swapnil Sonawane and Aseem Bajaj.
