The Batman

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Peter Craig, The Batman is the Dark Knight’s standalone outing in the DCEU with Robert Pattinson tapped to play the title role. Set in the 90s, The Batman will see a young Bruce Wayne putting on his detective hat to solve crime in Gotham City.

The Batman takes place two years into Bruce Wayne’s journey as the crime-fighting vigilante. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld. As evidence mounts revealing the extent of the perpetrator’s plan, Batman must unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham.

The Batman features an ensemble cast that includes Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Colin Farrell as The Penguin.
