Grand Theft Auto V Coming To PS5 And Xbox Series X In 2021
Grand Theft Auto, commonly abbreviated as GTA is a popular, best-selling video game franchise developed by Rockstar Games. It features a series of games set in an open-world city that has a central protagonist get drawn into a life of crime and eventually ascend the criminal ladder to extract their revenge.
The first two games in the series were 2D with a top-down camera angle. The series switched to 3D in 2001’s landmark Grand Theft Auto III. Subsequent sequels Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas propelled the series to new heights and record popularity while also drawing criticism and commentary for its excessive depiction of violence, drugs and in some instances, sex.
The series made its next-gen debut with Grand Theft Auto IV rewritten in an all new Rockstar Advanced Game Engine or R.A.G.E. while also being the first in the series to officially support an online mode. The latest title is 2013’s Grand Theft Auto V that has sold a record 130 million units.
