First Two Clips From Ant-Man And The Wasp Released

Marvel Studios has released the first two clips from its upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp. The first of these is titled Scenic Tour, and seems to be taken from the escape sequence prominently showcased in the trailers wherein the Wasp and Luis flee from a bunch of FBI agents on their tails. Scott Lang is riding what looks like his newfound friend (yeah the same ant who played the drums) after Antony in Ant-Man. Check it out below.

The second clip titled Wasp Fight shows the Wasp kicking the butts of some thugs as she single-handedly takes out a group of them in a kitchen. This is again another sequence that’s been seen numerous times in the trailers and one could almost assume it’s connected to the first clip which seems to follow this one. Like Scenic Tour, this one is about 50 seconds long and can be seen below.

These fast-paced clips gives a great look at what to expect from the movie in terms of tone and action. Director Peyton Reed looks set to recreate the Edgar Wright camp of comedy that landed so well with the first movie. The action progresses quickly as before with rapid shrinking and expanding happening in full effect. Marvel is also highlighting the Wasp’s role in the movie which shows in both the clips released; while the Wasp is front-and-center of the action, Scott Lang is barely seen at all. It also appears Luis and Wasp are protecting Hank Pym’s shrunken lab from a bunch of agents who out to seize Pym’s technology.

If history is anything to go by, we can expect more such clips leading up to the movie’s release. Unlike Infinity WarAnt-Man and the Wasp is a comparatively lesser known release and needs whatever extra marketing push it can get. Tickets for the movie already went on sale earlier this week and set visit reports are coming in from different outlets. We’re working towards breaking them down in a more digestible format so be sure to tune in to our page this weekend.

Ant-Man and the Wasp releases in theaters on July 6, 2018.
