A. R. Rahman’s Anthem For Avengers: Endgame India Release Unveiled By Joe Russo

Joe Russo attended a special fan event Mumbai, India to kick off the promotional tour of Avengers: Endgame. The event served another purpose though – to launch the Avengers: Endgame Anthem composed by acclaimed Indian musician A. R. Rahman. The Anthem is now online and is set to a music video interspersed with footage from Endgame, Infinity War, Captain Marvel and a few other MCU movies. Check it out in its entirety below.

The Anthem tries to capture and celebrate the spirit of 11-years worth of movies. By the time Endgame hits theaters, the MCU will be 22 movies old. A lot of memories, nostalgia and emotional connect comes with that sort of a baggage and Rahman’s anthem rightfully epitomizes the euphoric emotion and should serve as a great listen towards the end-credits of Endgame.

Rahman, who mentioned Iron Man and Black Panther as being among his favorite superheroes mentioned that the Anthem was composed, shot and edited in the last 10 days. When the Russo Brothers briefed the story to him, Rahman wanted to create something that fit the movie’s universal themes of good vs evil. He described working with Marvel as an honor and hoped Joe and the fans like the Anthem. Of course, Joe loved it.

What did you think about the Anthem though? Do you think Rahman does the Indian / Hindi version of Avengers: Endgame justice? Or did it not sit too well with you, especially compared to Rahman’s other acclaimed works? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
