Avenge The Fallen: 32 New Avengers: Endgame Character Posters Arrive

With just one month to go for the release of Avengers: Endgame, marketing for the movie has switched gears. As an immediate consequence, Marvel Studios has released 32 character posters for the movie with the tagline Avenge The Fallen. Of the 32 characters, 16 have their posters in color whereas the remaining 16 are in black-and-white, indicating their disintegration in Infinity War to the snap and another fine indicator of the balance in Thanos’ snap. It’s a different matter that some characters have been omitted (Hank Pym, Cassie Lang) to maintain the ratio.

The characters who receive posters in order are as follows: Tony Stark / Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers / Captain America / Nomad (Chris Evans) Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Bruce Banner / The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Clint Barton / Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Okoye (Danai Gurira), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Rocket Raccoon (Sean Gunn / Bradley Cooper), Wong (Benedict Wong), Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), T’Challa / Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Peter Quill / Star Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Shuri (Leticia Wright), Groot (Vin Diesel), Hope Van Dyne / Wasp (Evangeline Lily), Sam Wilson / Falcon (Anthonie Mackie), Bucky Barnes (Sebastain Stan), Mantis () and Drax (Dave Bautista). Boy that’s a long list.

The theme certainly seems inspired by acclaimed digital artist Bosslogic’s “Avenge Us” series of fan posters that called on the Avengers to “avenge” their fallen comrades. The posters also confirm that Valkyrie is alive, judging by her colored poster which is used for surviving characters.
