Game of Thrones Episode 6 title revealed; preview teases epic Battle with Wight Walkers

The preview of Episode 6 that aired immediately following the premiere of today’s episode Eastwatch is available to watch online. As suggested towards the end of Eastwatch, the episode teases a big battle in the tradition of penultimate Game of Thrones episodes. Alongside the promo, HBO has outed the title of the sixth episode as well.

The episode to be directed by series veteran Alan Taylor will be titled Death is the Enemy keeping in line with similar words mouthed in the episode preview. For those in the dark, Alan Taylor has directed the famous Season 1 episode Baelor that saw Ned Stark beheaded and set in motion a series of events that has directly or indirectly led to this moment.

As has been the case with episodes following the season finale for the last two seasons, this episode looks all set to deliver an epic battle as Thoros of Myr, Beric Dondarrion, The Hound, Tormund Giantsbane, Jorah Mormont, Gendry, Ser Davos and Jon Snow himself take on the Night King and his army with hopes of capturing one alive to showcase to Kings Landing as proof of the threat being real. Meanwhile, the rivalry between the Stark sisters looks set to come to a head with the two possibly confronting each other. We suspect the battle could take up a major portion of the episode and deservedly so. The Night King looks absolutely terrifying in his attire and it will be interesting to see if the episode finally adds some more dimension to the figure who’s only made a handful of appearances so far.

Death is the Enemy premieres on HBO Sunday, Aug 20 at 9:00 PM. Eastwatch premiered on episode earlier today. Look forward to our review of the same on Appocalypse.
