John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is off to a strong start. Keanu Reeves’ latest franchise made $5.9 million from Thursday night previews alone. The opening comes on the heels of some high appreciation garnered by the third installment in the series. John Wick: Parabellum has an 89% Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with highly positive reviews, making this one of the rare trilogies where all three movies have been well received.

The John Wick series of movies have had simple stories told with much flair, gun-fu action and brooding cinematography that combined, lends the series an authentic neo-noir feel. It’s been widely regarded by fans as a comeback of sorts for Keanu Reeves who receives much love from fandom for his exceptionally gentleman-like demeanor. With John Wick, fans believe Reeves finally has the success he has deserved for so long, although knowing the seasoned, veteran actor that he is, I’m sure Reeves is beyond such acclaim.

Box Office Mojo is speculating that Parabellum might even dethrone Avengers: Endgame which is about to enter its fourth glorious weekend at the box-office. It would be quite a feat for a John Wick movie to be the first to break the No. 1 stint that Endgame has held for three straight weeks in a row.
