Unlike most of the general audience, Ryan Reynolds was late to the party in watching Thor: Ragnarok. The movie has been out since 2 months now but it was only recently that he was seemingly able to get caught up (perhaps during a winter-break from his busy schedule). The Deadpool star though had nothing but compliments to shower on the movie and its director Taika Waititi. Here’s what he tweeted.
Late to the party on Thor: Ragnarok. I dislocated my face laughing. @TaikaWaititi is an international treasure. Protect his mind and body at all costs. @thorofficial

The admiration shouldn’t come as much of a surprise seeing as Thor: Ragnarok was well received by a majority of critics and audiences alike and has blazed past success, grossing over $800 million worldwide. What’s also interesting is now that Disney has officially announced its acquisition of Fox, we could perhaps see Deadpool in a Thor movie wreaking havoc and playing crazy with Thor and Hulk under director Taika Waititi. Given his wacky sensibilities, it makes perfect sense for Taika Waitit to direct Wade Wilson in some capacity.
Taika Waititi has yet to respond to this tweet. We’ll keep an eye out in case he does. Meanwhile let us know in the comments below if you’d be game for a future Thor or even a Deadpool movie under Waititi’s direction.
