SDCC 2017: New Comic Con Trailer for Justice League shows off Steppenwolf, confirms Superman’s return

Warner Bros. had a big panel today at SDCC and Justice League was undoubdedly the most anticipated of the movies shown off. A four minute preview was screened at Comic Con’s Hall H and Warner Bros. have just uploaded it online on their official YouTube Channel. You can watch the video below.

The preview focuses heavily on the Death of Superman in last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the assembling part although it looks more finished and ready than previous trailers for the movie. We also get a glimpse of the Commissioner Gordon scene interacting with the heroes that was glimpsed at in the last trailer and which was extensively covered in set reports.

But perhaps the most unsurprising bit of the trailer comes towards the end when Alfred, looks at a figure with a red cape lamenting about his return. It goes without saying that this is Superman and, while Warner did reveal his presence in the movie, it’s good to see they’ve so far restrained from showing him directly.

The footage in all looks absolutely epic and with the movie is currently undergoing reshoots. Let’s hope this turns out to be a fine chapter in the DC Expanded Universe.

Justice League is out in theaters on November 17.
