Moto E4 Plus sells 100,000 units on Flipkart in the first 24 hours

The Moto E4 series has gotten off to a pretty good start. After being recently launched in India, the plus variant which was exclusively being sold through Flipkart has managed to set a record at the Indian E-Commerce giant by selling 100,000 units in the first 24 hours of being launched. The handset also managed to attract 150,000 page hits to its product page within the first hour of going live.

Motorola recently launched a campaign on Twitter promoting the sale of the plus variant using the hashtag #MotoE4PlusLaunch. The campaign seems to have borne fruit as it garnered over 71 million impressions on social media. The result was a record 580 units per minute being sold for the first hour. That’s around 34,800 handsets sold in 60 minutes, a rather impressive feat.

As we reported previously, the Moto E4 Plus comes with a 5.5 inch 720p screen powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. It has a 13 MP f/2.0 primary camera along with a 5 MP f/2.2 secondary camera and is powered by a massive 5000 mAH non-removable battery, clearly one of its biggest selling points. It comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and is currently priced at ₹9,999 on Flipkart.
