Only recently, tickets for Black Panther went on sale at Fandango and boy are they selling fast. To commemorate the occasion, Fandango was able to score an interview with director Ryan Coogler. Now the ticketing site has gone ahead and shared a featurette about the movie in which we see two of the movie’s cast members and director shed some light on T’Challa’s journey post Captain America: Civil War.
One of the things frequently highlighted in earlier interviews is T’Challa’s increased sense of responsibility as a king and the weight he has to shoulder when he returns to Wakanda after the events of Civil War. Black Panther is in no mood to skip over that conflict. Chadwick Boseman reiterates that dealing with the struggle of being a king to an entire nation is a kind of responsibility a lot of superheroes don’t necessarily have to deal with. Additionally, Danai Gurira who plays Okoye and director Ryan Coogler emphasize on Wakanda being the most technologically advanced nation in the world and how its hidden nature creates an entirely new conflict, one that threatens to expose Wakanda to the rest of the world.
The featurette is short but worth a watch. Check it out quickly at the link below and don’t forget to like us for more Black Panther related stuff.
Black Panther rolls into theaters on Feb 16, 2018.
