Black Widow Release Moved Up To April 2020 In India

Rejoice, Marvel fans in India. Marvel Studios just moved up the release of Black Widow in the country from May to April. In a tweet posted a few hours ago, Marvel announced that Black Widow would release in India a day earlier on April 30, 2020, instead of the original May 1, 2020 release date. Marvel also revealed that the movie will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

In all likelihood, the movie will stick to this release date across the globe in order to avoid any potential spoilers. Granted, it isn’t the one-week shift that Avengers: Endgame had but that’s still one day less to wait for the film. Besides, Marvel is off-late known to move its summer releases a week earlier (although the last two summers have been Avengers releases) so this doesn’t really come as that big of a surprise either.

Black Widow wrapped principal photography in October and we’ve been waiting for a trailer since then. Recently, the D23 poster for the film was released in high definition but there’s still been no word on a trailer. With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker set to release in three weeks and with the holiday season approaching, it’s inevitable that we’ll get the Black Widow trailer online in a matter of days. Personally, my money’s on the trailer arriving this week but we’ll see.

Black Widow is set for release in theaters on May 1, 2020 with an early release of April 30, 2020 in some territories. It will be directed by Cate Shortland and stars Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbanle and Rachel Weisz.
