John Wick Shows Some Motorcycle-Fu Action In New Clip On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Keanu Reeves made an appearance on the Stephen Colbert show to promote his upcoming movie John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (the name never ceases to sound cool). The actor had a lot to talk about the stuntwork seen in the franchise so prominently and went on to debut a brand new clip from the movie. The scene in question, glimpsed in the trailers, sees Wick do some motorcycle-fu as he fights a gang of Ninja assassins chasing him on bikes while riding a bike himself. It’s a great clip that begins at the 7:50 mark; check it out below:

These nuggets of clips are a great reminder of why we love the John Wick franchise. The previous clip gave some hint at the traditional world-building that’s sneakily present through the franchise. This one in turn, gives us a great look at the insane action in store for us in Parabellum. The upped budget should have certainly helped the production; the first John Wick was an already great looking film at $20 million with John Wick: Chapter 2 getting double that budget ($40 million) and the budget for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum being even triple of that, around $55 million.

Talk show host Stephen Colbert ended his segment by asking Keanu a philosophical question on what happens after death. Known for his deep, insightful knowledge, partly in wake of the experiences he’s been through in life, Keanu gave an equally touching answer that had the host himself stunned to silence. It’s best experience on video above and appears toward the very end of the segment. Let us know what you think about both the clip and Keanu’s response in the comments below.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum arrives in theaters this week, on May 17, 2019. The review embargo has lifted so expect some detailed reactions today.
