Netflix’s biggest Indian original show is back this year. Sacred Games Season 2 just got its first official teaser trailer. It’s a short one that only reveals the show’s new cast to that now familiar, iconic intro with a promise of returning sometime in 2019. We’ll let you have a look before spoiling the new players of this game.
Despite losing some key players to their deaths in Season 1, Season 2 has added an impressive roster of names. Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pankaj Tripathi reprise their roles as Sartaj Singh, Gaitonde and Guruji, respectively. Joining them are Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey in as yet unspecified roles. Season 2 had begun filming last year in Mumbai and Kenya and it looks like principal photography has either wrapped, or is on the verge of winding down Considering Season 1 aired in July, it isn’t entirely unreasonable to assume that Season 2 could be out sometime in July or August 2019.
Dubbed Sacred Games 2, Season 2 will continue the fallout of Season 1’s revelations as Sartaj Singh attempts to thwart an impending nuclear attack on Mumbai.
