In case you’re offline, The Matrix Resurrections is causing a tremendous buzz on social media thanks to the release of its teaser trailers and the ingenuity with which Warner Bros. is marketing them. Some of the most striking shots are with Keanu Reeves. The entire Los Angeles sequence in the dark looks like it’s going to be terrific and it’s giving heavy John Wick vibes, with a bearded Reeves about to fight hundreds of armed men. Another interesting facet is the recreation of a lot of famous scenes from the original Matrix trilogy, including Trinity’s entry, Neo being punched against the walls by Agent Smith, Neo fighting Morpheus, etc. Those leave the door open for some interesting speculations and theories to float around.
