Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 Premiere Date, Plot Synopsis Revealed

After comparatively slower news weeks thanks to the coronavirus outbreak, we finally have something to look forward to. Marvel just announced the premiere date for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 with a short teaser. The final season of the show, Season 7 will premiere on May 27. Unfortunately, the teaser released is simply a rehash of the final scene of Season 6 that shows Coulson’s Life Model Decoy come alive.

We do however have a plot synopsis that confirms the time period and setting that our agents were transported to. As fans had correctly guessed from the D23 Teaser Trailer revealed last year, we’ll be starting off with 1931 New York.

Picking up where we left off with Season 6 — and the reveal of a new Phil Coulson Life Model Decoy — Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are thrust backward in time and stranded in 1931 New York City. With the all-new Zephyr set to time-jump at any moment, the team must hurry to find out exactly what happened. If they fail, it would mean disaster for the past, present, and future of the world.

The synopsis doesn’t give much of anything away but teases for an exciting adventure in the past. We’ll be transported to a time when none of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has existed upto this point (well, technically, some of the events of Thor: The Dark World did occur thousands of years ago). The Eternals may be all set to change that by taking us further into the past. Using the brief blurb above and the episode titles previously revealed fans may begin piecing together some clues to the story.

Finally, Marvel also released the first teaser poster for the show featuring the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo in all its glory. Check it out in high resolution below.
