Avengers: Endgame Trailer 2 Confirms Time Travel Through Quantum Realm Suits, Recreated Shots?

Avengers: Endgame just got a brand new trailer courtesy a surprise drop by the Russo Brothers and you’d be forgiven for not realizing it yet. The trailer is big on nostalgia, epic feels and a sense of finale and closure. But for all the emotions, it actually confirms a lot of things that were leaked, chief amongst them being the Quantum Realm Suits. That, and certain shots in the trailer give the impression that some form of time travel is pretty much a given.

First off, the Quantum Realm suits are pretty much exactly the way they came about in the toy leaks and other concept leaks last year. We see all the Avengers walking around in those suits, headed towards a potentially game-changing fate. And among the superheroes, we see our very own Tony Stark as well, having returned from space safely (to no one’s surprise).

But there are some other shots in the trailer that almost look like a recreation of certain scenes from Infinity War. The shot of Nebula landing on what looks like Titan, about to kickstart a fight looks very much like the shot of Nebula in the Battle on Titan from Avengers: Infinity War last year. Also, Thor charging up his Stormbreaker yet again echoes an exactly similar shot that was seen in Avengers: Infinity War when he landed on Wakanda. In fact, the twinkle in his eye nearly indicates that Thor has every intention of killing Thanos this time by going for the head.

Then there’s this strange shot of a spaceship / Quinjet flying over a city that looks like it wasn’t affected by the time at all. Except that city is New York as seen by the Brooklyn Bridge which, as we know, was indeed affected by the snap as seen in the Super Bowl Spot. This could mean one of two things: either a lot of time has passed allowing the city to rebuild itself, or the Avengers are using the Quinjet to do some time travelling.

Finally, on the off chance that the Russo Brothers are fooling us by deliberately include some of this footage and CGI-ing the Quantum Realm suits to misdirect us, the final movie may end up having a completely different plot at all. Given the amount of leaks however, the chances of this happening are insanely rare.

Whatever the case, Avengers: Endgame is promoting itself as being one hell of a movie. Fingers crossed the Russos can pull it off and deliver us MCU fans the finale of a lifetime.

Avengers: Endgame releases in theaters on April 26, 2019. There’s a lot to unpack from this new Avengers: Endgame trailer so stay tuned as we work on our detailed trailer breakdown.
