Avengers: Endgame Trailer Crosses 3 Million Likes On YouTube

The Avengers: Endgame trailer that dropped Friday is off to another record. In just a few days since the teaser went online, it has become the most viewed trailer of all time, leaving fans salivating for more with trailer breakdowns and time-traveling theories abound. Now, the trailer has accomplished another milestone; it has crossed 3 million likes on YouTube, becoming only the second trailer to do so after the first Avengers: Infinity War teaser.

This is a historic feat by all accounts. The trailer now sits as the second most-liked movie trailer on YouTube by a wide-margin. The feat is magnified by the fact that the first Avengers: Endgame trailer was uploaded to mulitiple YouTube partner channels and Marvel’s own social media accounts. Normally, that would serve to cannibalize some of the views and likes the trailer could have received on the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel, a scenario that Marvel avoided in the past with the first Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer (that was leaked) by keeping it exclusive on its own channel. That the trailer has 3 million likes, despite being at so many places, is testament to the goodwill it is enjoying.

The Endgame trailer had amassed 1 million likes within an hour or so of its airing, with the next checkpoint at 2 million likes coming a few hours later. It has broken all records and has gotten fans excited despite revealing absolutely no major plot points, giving nothing away and arriving unannounced. It only goes to show how high fan anticipation is for this movie.

Avengers: Endgame releases in theaters worldwide on April 26, 2019.
