Disney showed off a new Avengers: Infinity War trailer at their investor meeting

Disney had an internal Investors meeting on Thursday, March 8 in Houston, Texas where it showcased its upcoming movie releases. Among the collection of films highlighted was Avengers: Infinity War and if sources are to be believed, a new trailer for that movie was showed off as footage in the investors meeting. Studios generally screen footage from their upcoming slate of movies to build up excitement among investors while also assuring them things are in order as far as film production goes.

This news holds significance in large part because this pretty much guarantees that a second trailer is ready, most likely in a finished form. A few effects may remain but this looks in all likelihood like the second trailer that will eventually end up on the internet. Disney has already shifted marketing gears for Avengers: Infinity War significantly by releasing new stills, posters and covers, all necessitated by its release date being moved up a notch worldwide. While our earlier projections had the trailer drop sometime towards the end of March, internet buzz indicates that it could be dropping as early as within the next one week. The major draw holding the studio back was people having seen Black Panther but that movie’s phenomenal success and a steady march towards the elusive $1 billion total mean that question has been more than clearly answered.
